10:52 pm - I PRETTIFIED ME
Was feeling kindof frumpy and middle age womanish. So I got a hair cut. and. new clothes..

The hairdresser was cutting my hair so fast I was afraid he had snipped his finger at one point or was just having a freeforall (in that I'm going to decorate the christmas tree and I don't care if it looks like someone ate tinsel and threw it up on the tree style *GASP*) on my hair. But it worked out looking good in the end. phew.

I walked for TWO AND A HALF hours today. Firstly because I had to make a delivery to Alex's house - I WAS VERY STEALTHY. And secondly because when I got home I realised I didn't have the key, so I had to kill time before the rest of the crew returned :-(.

Good thing I did aswell. When I get home (ravenous from my trek across the world in an amazing record time of 2.5 hours) what do I discover but DORITOS and Chocolate? Ohwell. Delicious. x-)

11:25 pm - HOOCHIE MAMA
(The subject of my post is VERY relevant to it's content)

Time for one of my oh so regular and frequent entries.

MY LAST ONE WAS FIFTEEN WEEKS AGO -- I was still obsessed with HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED then.

Yes, I decided a relationship with Voldermort would never work. He's just too busy and we'd never have time to see eachother what with my heavy university workload and his trying to conquer to world and destroy all the supposedly "good" wizards.

OH

If you find an interesting rock one day.. and think "hmm". Pick it up and we can look at it under my hand lens! :-D

Over and Out.

Last updated ELEVEN WEEKS AGO. Him.. Let's think, anything major in my life that started eight weeks ago which could possibly prevent me from ranting on here..... oh yes. that's right. UNIVERSITY.
SO. BUSY. AND. STRESSED. AARRGGHG.

Also still a little bit in love with Kenneth. Not as much as before. But still a little bit. He smiled at me again. *swoons* That's all it takes really. So yeah. He's beautful. When I write emails to him I want to attach, "p.s. will you be the father of my children." VERY TEMPTED TO. But I never do.

Kenneth and University. That about sums up the last eight weeks. I'd be happy to give you excessive details on either (especially Kenneth), but you've probably either heard them all before or don't care.

11:20 am - Confused
Okay, so last night I finally figured out what the UWA website wanted from me. I had to figure out what units i'm going to take at Uni. I had no idea that I'd have so much choice. It's almost like choosing your subjects for year 11 again.

Okay, so I'm tossing up between two choices right now. Either Geology, or geochemistry with an additional major in geology (So basically I'd be a highly qualified geologist). The latter sounds pretty good, buuut there is a catch.

If I do geochemistry I can't go to Vancouver in Canada on my exchange. Vancouver sounds wonderful. It's beautiful, with huge mountains on one side, rivers all through and the ocean on the other. If I do geology I can. Geochemistry will only allow me to go to Ottawa, the capital. I looked it up and it sounds like the Australian version of Canberra, full of stuffy white politicians and a whole lot of not much to do or see.

It's bad that my exchange is such a big deciding factor, but it's going to be a huge part of my life.
Tell me what you think!

3:13 pm - Yay!
I've decided to start using live journal again, because, as I've recently discovered, you can get your hands on some awesome fan fictions!

If you watch Star-gate Atlantis, and think Weir and Sheppard have chemistry (NOT Teyla and Sheppard who have ZERO chemistry) you will absolutely loove this link! It is a little long, but completely worth it!!

4:56 pm - The Bridge of sighs, by Thomas Hood
My favourite poem, which was written by Thomas Hood (whom i'm apparently related to) to combat issues to do with prostitution. My favourite verse is lines twenty to twentyfive, if you don't want to read the whole thing, at least read that one.

ONE more Unfortunate,
Weary of breath,
Rashly importunate,
Gone to her death!

Take her up tenderly, 5
Lift her with care;
Fashion'd so slenderly
Young, and so fair!

Look at her garments
Clinging like cerements; 10
Whilst the wave constantly
Drips from her clothing;
Take her up instantly,
Loving, not loathing.

Touch her not scornfully; 15
Think of her mournfully,
Gently and humanly;
Not of the stains of her,
All that remains of her
Now is pure womanly. 20

Make no deep scrutiny
Into her mutiny
Rash and undutiful:
Past all dishonour,
Death has left on her 25
Only the beautiful.

Still, for all slips of hers,
One of Eve's family—
Wipe those poor lips of hers
Oozing so clammily. 30

Loop up her tresses
Escaped from the comb,
Her fair auburn tresses;
Whilst wonderment guesses
Where was her home? 35

Who was her father?
Who was her mother?
Had she a sister?
Had she a brother?
Or was there a dearer one 40
Still, and a nearer one
Yet, than all other?

Alas! for the rarity
Of Christian charity
Under the sun! 45
O, it was pitiful!
Near a whole city full,
Home she had none.

Sisterly, brotherly,
Fatherly, motherly 50
Feelings had changed:
Love, by harsh evidence,
Thrown from its eminence;
Even God's providence
Seeming estranged. 55

Where the lamps quiver
So far in the river,
With many a light
From window and casement,
From garret to basement, 60
She stood, with amazement,
Houseless by night.

The bleak wind of March
Made her tremble and shiver;
But not the dark arch, 65
Or the black flowing river:
Mad from life's history,
Glad to death's mystery,
Swift to be hurl'd—
Anywhere, anywhere 70
Out of the world!

In she plunged boldly—
No matter how coldly
The rough river ran—
Over the brink of it, 75
Picture it—think of it,
Dissolute Man!
Lave in it, drink of it,
Then, if you can!

Take her up tenderly, 80
Lift her with care;
Fashion'd so slenderly,
Young, and so fair!

Ere her limbs frigidly
Stiffen too rigidly, 85
Decently, kindly,
Smooth and compose them;
And her eyes, close them,
Staring so blindly!

Dreadfully staring 90
Thro' muddy impurity,
As when with the daring
Last look of despairing
Fix'd on futurity.

Perishing gloomily, 95
Spurr'd by contumely,
Cold inhumanity,
Burning insanity,
Into her rest.—
Cross her hands humbly 100
As if praying dumbly,
Over her breast!

Owning her weakness,
Her evil behaviour,
And leaving, with meekness, 105
Her sins to her Saviour!

10:46 pm - Bodhinyana
Bodhinyana
Perhaps one of the most depressing books for those with dreams -- because of its truthfulless.

"The mind is an uncertain thing. This body is uncertain. Together they are impermanent. Together they are a source of suffering. Together they are devoid of self. Thise, the Buddha pointd out, are neither a being, nor a person, nor a self, nor a soul, neither us, nor them. They are merely elements: earth, water, fire and air. Just Elements."

"Hurry and develope wholesomeness, do good and follow the path of practice from the beginning, in the middle and in the highest levels. Don't let time roll by unused and without purpose. Try to read the truth of the Buddhas's teachings even today. A Lao folk saying -"Many rounds of merrement and pleasure past, soon it will be evening. Drunk with tears now, rest and see, soon it will be to late to finish the journey"-"
